"Where nature begins and never ends" - Puerto Princesa City

Puerto Princesa City remains the main gateway to the different wonders in the province of Palawan and a beautiful city which offers entertainment and natural attractions that can surely entice every individual who loves either indoor or outdoor activities.

For me, here are the best things to do/to visit in this city:

#1 Exploring "Hundred Caves"
This wonderful attraction hasn't been opened long for tourists, thus, this might be unknown yet to many, but it was opened before pandemic.
It takes approximately 25 minutes by tricycle from Sabang port (where the Underground River tour starts) or more or less 1 1/2 hr from the city proper. It is very close to "Ugong Rock" (see #3).
I love the Underground River, but I love this more!☺️
Fried chicken pls. Leg part. 😊
Exploring this place for an hour and thirty minutes was definitely awesome! 😍

#2 Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park or commonly known as Underground River
This is one of the UNESCO World Heritage sites and has been one of the Seven Wonders of the world. At present, this is probably the most popular site in Puerto Princesa City or even in the whole province of Palawan.

These animals are seen at the entrance area of the cave. ☺️
I've already visited this place twice, but it still awes me!
#3 Ugong Rock
Climb + zip line = Exhilarating
Sa mga mejo malaki talaga ang katawan, 🤔 try nyo lng guys. Hehe

Before, every time I had the chance to go zip line, I kept on saying NOOOO! Hahaha I was really scared of zip line. Now, gamay nalang.😂  It was in Ugong Rock that I conquered my fear of zip line. Wala na ding sumunod. Bwaahaaha
The climb was good, though it was short.
By the way, why do they name it "ugong"? Simply because, at the bottom, just before you climb, there's a part of the huge rock that echoes when you tap it. :) Note: Ugong means there's a sound.

#4 Honday Bay
For rich people, going to Tubattaha reef and staying at luxurious resorts like Amanpulo are easy. But for average people like me, island hopping in Honda Bay is much more convenient and affordable.😊
Yes po, anjan si Bruce Lee! Lol
#5 Nagtabon Beach
If you want a secluded area, where you can disconnect yourself from the busy world or you just want to be alone in peace, try Nagtabon Beach. No phone signals at all.😬 It is located in. Bgy. Bacungan, and it takes approximately 45minutes by motorbike from PPC proper.
Actually, nihapit ra jud ko diri. 😅
#6 Pyamaluguan Waterfalls
I have already mentioned this waterfalls in my previous blog (Chasing Waterfalls).   Hiking for more or less 30 minutes from Sabang Port is "chicken." hehehe If you still have time after your tour in the Underground River, go hike a bit and have a dip.
This is by the entrance area where you'll pay for an entrance fee. Sorry I forgot the exact entrance fee. 😬 It's pretty expensive though compared to most waterfalls I've been to, but it's not more than a hundred and fifty pesos.
#7 Plaza Cuartel
Well, by its name itself, the word "historical" comes to your mind.
 Indeed, it is!

Personally, I also love ruins! I didn't like history books when I was in high school or even in college, but I definitely love seeing historic things and places.
I really had goosebumps while touring the area.

Can you imagine yourself being deceived and trapped inside that tunnel? :(

These are some of the victims and the survivors of the massacre. 👇

#8  Firefly watching at Iwahig Mangrove River
For those who haven't seen fireflies in their life, this place is right for you. :)
I find it creepy touring the river on a boat in such a very dark mode. Lol Syempre, you can't see some fireflies during the day, so gabie jud mag tour.
Though i had goosebumps the whole time I was on the boat, I still enjoyed the fireflies- sooooo many fireflies. The mangrove trees looked like Christmas
trees. My Korean friend (very very close to me) who was with me that time, found it super amazing since it was her first time to see fireflies. 😍

#9 Iwahig Prison and Penal Farm
I find it very distinct, entering a penal colony and mingle the prisoners.😃
The area is so big and wide. You can see old buildings but very well preserved, you can buy souvenirs made by the prisoners, and most of all you can talk freely to them while roaming around the area. :)
If you're lucky enough, you will be entertained, too. :)
Some prisoners entertained us by their dance moves. 😀

#10 Baker's Hill
The tour isn't complete without grabbing yummy foods and/or delicacies.
I toured my college friend here and took many photos. Hahaha Pero isa lang ako ipakita diri ah. 😁
This place is both for your eyes and tummy. 👀😎 Well, my favorite in this place is their iced coffee, hopia, and of course breadsssss..😁 Bread is life jud. 🍞🥖💕 (Everytime I go there I don't take photos of the breads, cookies and a lot more.😬) Next time nalng.. Hehehe

P.S.
I had been sooo busy in the past days kaya very late akong pag publish this time. 😏 BUT it's better late then never. 😁

Until then... Stay safe and healthy! 🙏 ❤️
