Puting Bato @Lutopan, Toledo City, Cebu

Mountain climbing is something I got interested in when I first overcame my fear of heights. But our climb to Puting Bato was an unexpected one, that we were not able to wear even a proper footwear.

👣The ascent

After about a 25-minute trek from the national highway, this was still pretty okay for the knees. 👌 
 But then..... Surprisingly! 

Still thinking of backing out or not? 😂 
      Go go go! 💪 
   We (only 3 of us) never thought the climb would be like that. 

     No retreat, no surrender!             💪 😅
     Finally reached the peak!

When you're on top, you can see the mining industry in the area, Carmen Copper Corporation (CCC). 
     Relaxing on top while              entertaining calls and        checking phone messages.
👣The descent


We knew we were quite mean during that moment. We laughed so hard since his knees were shaking a lot  that he badly needed assistance. We really couldn't control our laugh that's why we tried to console him by also laughing at the situation. 😂

The trek + the climb is more or less an hour only, depending on your phase. 

No entrance fee, since it isn't yet developed, but you'll have to find  a local guide especially if you're not from the area.

                  📸 Chuck Maquiso Trivia:  In 2015, while I was on my recovery period after my surgery, I only stayed at home for months. During those days, I got nothing else to do but read books, watch movies and for the longest time, watch TV shows.  Because of the daytime series, "Ning2x," on ABS-CBN that time, I started to wonder where they filmed the pilot episodes of the show especially the site where there's a huge rock on the top of the knoll. I found the view really lovely!  Unexpectedly,  after a year and 7 months when I could travel again, I visited my friend/colleague in San Vicente whom I hadn't seen for a long time. She told me that we were going somewhere where it was one of the shooting locations of a television show. That's all!
