Krabi is ❤️

Maiba naman tayo ngayon. Let's go international! Hehehe 

This time, I would like to share with you my favorite province in Thailand, Krabi. ❣️

It is located in the southwestern part of the country with more than a hundred offshore islands. It takes more or less 11hrs by bus or approximately 1hr by plane from Bangkok. So, what do you prefer? Me, I prefer bus, a VIP bus. Why? I want to see the other parts of the country while sitting comfortably on a VIP bus, and yes, I really love the vibe of it even if I don't have a company!😊 Surely, I cannot even have a short conversation with the other passengers, unless if there are also foreign tourists in the bus who can speak English, since most Thai people cannot and my Thai is so limited. 😁 But I have also tried flying Krabi-BKK and vice versa. Boringan man ko oi! 😆 

Anway, here's the list of my favorite things to do or places to enjoy in Krabi:

#1 Island Hopping in Phiphi Islands

  KOH PHIPHI LEH- Popularly called Maya Bay, where "The Beach" of Leonardo De Caprio was filmed. 

If you want to savor the place's enchanting beauty without a crowd, you must go there not later than 9:00 o'clock in the morning.

The lagoon of this island is so big and wide. (photo below shows the lagoon's entrance) 

KOH PHIPHI DON- This island is much bigger than Leh where resorts, hotels, inns are located.  Shops, atm machines, restaurants, cafés, and other facilities are available as well on this island.

👇This beach is a bit far from the port, but I think this area is the best for you to stay if you want peace and quiet. 

    That island over there is        Phiphi Leh. 

Note: You may hire a boat all for yourself/for your group, or you can opt to join in a group tour. Oh, by the way, these islands are also accessible from Phuket. 

#2 Island Hopping at some Krabi's offshore islands

KOH PODA - Many tourists love to swim, sunbath and relax on this island since it has wide coastline. Its sand is white and fine, and the water is clear.

KOH TUP/THAP- One of my favorite islands in Thailand!

This small island is very close to Koh Mor  with a sand bar that connects each other. ☺️

KOH KAI- In English,

Chicken Island. Yes, it looks like a chicken from afar, hence its name. :)

Snorkeling is the best in this island. And this is where I started to like snorkeling.☺️

#3 Enjoying Railay Beach

Some tourists call it island because it is only accessible by boat and not knowing it's just part of the mainland. Indeed, it is a peninsula. It takes approximately 15min by Longtail boat from Ao Nang.

There are also resorts in the area (pretty costly for me😁). I've been to this area  thrice, but I hadn't stayed overnight.  Hahaha

Rock climbing in the area is the favorite of some tourists. 

One thing I was very surprised with in this beach is the small cave full of penis.😱 

I once watched a documentary show, showing this kind of tradition, but I forgot where it is exactly in Thailand. I didn't expect I could see it there. 👀  

The locals call it Penis Shrine, and they go there to hope for fertility and some hope for success. They do this because they believe that the Princess Goddess, who was killed in a shipwreck near that shrine, resides amongst the wooden penises on the coastline of Thailand. So, they go to the shrine with offerings, believing that such gifts will let them conceive. 

#4 Swimming at Bamboo Island 

By far, this is the island that aside from having its sand so white, it is also the finest I've ever seen, touched and felt!💙💚💓  In short, the best! :) 

But unfortunately, I made a mistake with my phone during my trip. I accidentally deleted all my photos in the island except this 👇. 😭

That is where our boat dropped us. The mess you can see on the photo was still the remnants of the tsunami that devastated some of the islands in the Andaman Sea in 2004. In fact, I still even saw there a broken weighing scale, the whole roofing of a kiosk na nag barred down, tattered clothes, etc. I was really surprised na nakita ko pa ang mga yun kay ka tagal na nangyari yun. It was a bit creepy, but sad seeing those things.😕  

#5 Walking along Ao Nang streets

Apart from the beaches,

 various restaurants (Italian, American, Spanish, Thai, Chinese, Japanese, etc), shops, cafés, pizza parlors, bakeries, hotels, resto bars and among others are also along the streets of Ao Nang. The vibe is very lively, colorful and fun! 

This is the only place where I truly love walking along the streets. 😊❤️

Behold BOHOL

Welcome to the land of tarsiers!😀

Bohol is the province I've visited the most because it's not only close to Cebu (my hometown) but because I also have many friends in the area. Lucky me, I don't need to pay for a hotel or an inn for my accommodation since they always invite me in their place. Hahaha Thanks friends!😘 

Definitely, Bohol is one of the places in the Philippines that won't fail your travel goals. 😊 And I want to share with you my TOP TEN tourist destinations in the province. 

#1 Chocolate Hills

Many do wonder "why chocolate?"

Especially during dry season, all the weeds on most of the 1,700+ hills turn brown that look like chocolates spread around the municipalities of Sagbayan, Batuan and Carmen, where the highest peak of the CH is. 

I really find them wonderful and even more wonderful when I see them close.

#2 Loboc River Cruise 

 It's just not about the river actually, but the buffet itself! Hahaha Having your lunch on the boat while cruising the river is perfect.👌For only about PhP550, you can have a sumptuous lunch; local dishes of seafood, veggies, and meat plus fruits and drinks. (Sorry, I can't find my photos of the foods.)

You'll be entertained, by the way, with the locals on a floating stage dancing local dances and singing local songs. 

I don't have a decent photo of the performers and the performance. :( I have a short video of their performance but it's not good either.huhu Yan lang po ang mejo okay na photo. That's their stage, seen on the last photo. 👆

#3 Anda Beach 

It is located at the municipality of Anda. It's pretty far from Tagbilaran, though, roughly 100 km. from the city. It takes more or less 3 hours by van. So, if you want to tour around Bohol, you have to stay there for three days or more.

#4 Virgin Island 

It's not an island actually, but it's just a sandbar. It is only visible during low tide. It's pretty small, but the water is so clear and the sand is powdery white.

#6 Balicasag Island

Sad to say, I lost my photos of this island. 😭 You may just google the island. 

It's a nice place for snorkeling and diving. And I must say it's one of the beautiful islands I've seen. 

#7 Tarsier Sight-seeing

 Of course, your Bohol tour won't be complete without seeing these very small creatures, but with very big round eyes. 👀 

 Note: They're endangered species. So, see to it that you follow all the protocols and guidelines there when you're in their habitat.

#9 Panglao Island  

It's already known that Panglao Island is famous for its beaches and resorts. But in the recent years, I find the beach areas crowded already. :(  Dikit dikit na mga structures this time. I liked it better during my first stay in Panglao Island way back in 2008. But maganda parin naman mga beaches nila. 

#10 Man-made Forest 

 It's not as thick as I had imagined, but it is good enough. It's always good to know that there are initiatives like this, since we don't have much forests in our country anymore.

The whale watching is supposed to be in my top ten, but we were so late that time, we were not able to see them. Awww... We only saw one, but only its tail. 😆😅 Kaya no photos available from me. Hehe 

👣 Bet n' Choy Farm Resort 

Good for team building activities. It has rooms, pools, halls, and other recreational facilities.

Located at Pilar, Bohol. It has stalactites and stalagmites. It was a long time ago that I visited the area. I didn't have a camera that time and my android phone didn't have a good camera either. Huhu
