Penang, Malaysia

This Malaysian state on the northwest coast of Peninsular Malaysia has two parts; the Penang Island, where George Town (the capital city) is located, and Seberang Perai on the Malay Peninsula. These two are connected by two bridges; the Penang Bridge ( 13.5km long) and the Sultan Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah Bridge ( the 2nd longest oversea bridge in Southeast Asia at 24km). (Under a Penang Sky- an abstract sculpture in the "old town" area of George Town created in 2009 by the sculptor, Mikuchi Mitsuo.)
