Penang, Malaysia

This Malaysian state on the northwest coast of Peninsular Malaysia has two parts; the Penang Island, where George Town (the capital city) is located, and Seberang Perai on the Malay Peninsula. These two are connected by two bridges; the Penang Bridge (13.5km long) and the Sultan Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah Bridge (the 2nd longest oversea bridge in Southeast Asia at 24km).

(Under a Penang Sky- an abstract sculpture in the "old town" area of George Town created in 2009 by the sculptor, Mikuchi Mitsuo.)

Our travel was mainly for business, however, since we just had to stay there for 3 days, we made the most out of it even for a short period of time.

📍 Tropical Spice Garden
A tropical landscape with over 500 species of flora and fauna, plus garden tours and cooking courses.

"Matchy matchy" 😄- my hair color and the color of the tree
Buying tickets in advance via online is also available. As I've known, its current Admission fee is RM15 per person and the rate for its guided tour is RM25.
# Teluk Bahang Eco-Park
This 32-hectare forest eco park is perfect for hiking, but as you can see, we were not dressed for hiking especially me, since that site wasn't part of the real plan. Hahaha So, can you imagine the pains all over my feet and legs? 😂

#Batik Factory
What a sight! By far, this is one of the favorite things I've ever seen! I really love how they do the batik printing. It's so intricate and unique. And yes, it's so expensive! Hahaha

#Around George Town City (first thing we did before going somewhere else)
I like their bicycle rides. 😊
George Town is known for its British Colonial Buildings, Chinese shophouses and mosques. But beyond the old town area, it is a modern city with shopping malls and skyscrapers. Plus they have nice beaches! We only saw them as we passed by on the road, but unfortunately we didn't have the chance to go for a swim.

#Chocolate and Coffee Museum

It was previously called The Chocolate Boutique.

My eyes were literally like these "😍" when we got there. Haha

They even had spicy chocolates. Amazing! But I am not sure if it's still in operation at present. :(

# Binge Eating
😋Roti
We ate roti late at night. Kinda Midnight snack! 😁 Not our first time to eat roti though, but of course Malaysia has its own taste and recipe. Theirs are also good!

😋Noodles
For the name of curiosity, I bought this noodle soup and tbh, not my taste. Hehe I forgot its name. 😂

For your reference 😊 (Prices may have changed already.)

Penang, Malaysia is truly one of the places I want to visit again! I really love the vintage vibes of the old town, its beaches and eco parks, as well as the modern part of the city. The state itself is a whole package.
