My favorite lines from this book are the ff:

¬ Fear reaches only to the point where the unavoidable begins; from there on, it loses its meaning. 

¬The meaning of Life is whatever we want it to be.

¬ It is not difficult to rebuild a life. It is enough to be aware that we go on with the same strength that we had before, and to use that in our favor. 

¬ If you have a past that dissatisfies you, forget it now. Concentrate only on those moments in which you achieved what you desired, and this strength will help you to accomplish what you want. 

¬ God's motives are always beyond our understanding. 

¬ Remember the good things you have done. They'll give you courage. 

¬ The pain we feel will never go away, but work will help us to bear it. Suffering has no strength to wound a weary body. 

¬ A child can always teach an adult three things : to be happy for no reason, to always be busy with something, and to know how to demand with all his might that which he desires. 

¬ The brave are always stubborn.

Short Reflection:

As we continue to grow physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually, there are parts in our lives where we struggle on our choices. We don't know where to go, where to begin, what to do, how to do the things expected from us and even who to trust. Seems like we're trapped in a tunnel, where looking back is scary but looking ahead is scarier, and there's no way end.

These things we undergo are not easy to heed, but fret not, and stay calm. His reasons may be beyond our grasp, but all will be well in His own time. Let's not give in to our doubts, anxiety and confusions that can hamper our goals and can ruin our relationships with anyone.

STAY STRONG and KEEP THE FAITH! 🙏 ❤️

The name Inandeng is from the name of two sitios in Barangay New Agutaya, San Vicente, Palawan, where Inandeng River traverses; Inarayan and Landing. It is 2.5km long, navigatable by smalls boats and kayaks, but only 1.9km is most often navigated by the locals, particularly the fishermen in the bgy.  The end of the river meets the Long Beach, the longest white-sand beach in the Philippines.  What attract me the most about the river are the mangrove area which is believed to be one of the big help in the barangay especially during the super typhoon Odette and the coconut trees that added beauty along the wider area of the river.  Sadly, a lot of the mangrove trees in the area were devastated during the super typhoon, probably the really old ones. Bato ni Ningning

                  📸 Chuck Maquiso Trivia:  In 2015, while I was on my recovery period after my surgery, I only stayed at home for months. During those days, I got nothing else to do but read books, watch movies and for the longest time, watch TV shows.  Because of the daytime series, "Ning2x," on ABS-CBN that time, I started to wonder where they filmed the pilot episodes of the show especially the site where there's a huge rock on the top of the knoll. I found the view really lovely!  Unexpectedly,  after a year and 7 months when I could travel again, I visited my friend/colleague in San Vicente whom I hadn't seen for a long time. She told me that we were going somewhere where it was one of the shooting locations of a television show. That's all! No other clues! hahaha   Can you imagine how I felt when I saw the place I dreamed of seeing but not knowing its location? hehehe It felt so surreal! I was overjoyed. ?...

Puting Bato @Lutopan, Toledo City, Cebu

Mountain climbing is something I got interested in when I first overcame my fear of heights. But our climb to Puting Bato was an unexpected one, that we were not able to wear even a proper footwear. 👣The ascent After about a 25-minute trek from the national highway, this was still pretty okay for the knees. 👌    But then.....
