San Vicente's Local Food and Drinks Fair

Image
The LGU-SAN VICENTE through the Office of the Municipal Tourism initiated an activity which gathers its local chefs, cooks or those who are into cooking and/or into preparing beverages to not only sell their products but to create local dishes (main ingredients are just found in the vicinity) and drinks that could be called  their own; something unique that is NOT FOUND in other places, and could be eventually marketed and be part of its Food Tourism. Competition in different food and beverage categories were very interesting and exciting as the participants  showcased their very own recipes in the public.   Check out these dishes during the first day of the fair: APPETIZERS: MAIN COURSE        Fisherman's Red Catch       Seafood Rice in Bamboo   DESSERT  ...

Chill and Dine at San Vicente, Palawan

Image
The town isn't as crowded as other tourist destinations in Palawan like Coron, El Nido and Puerto Princesa, so you can't expect a lot of restaurants all over the place. But rest assured that you won't starve and can have a very good meal at an affordable price or a sumptuous meal that's really worth the price. :)  You may check these places (my recommendations but not in particular order) for you to chill and dine: 🔴 Turtle Beach Restaurant Location: Long Beach, Bgy. Alimanguan  Contact:  FB Page Specialties: Chaolong (a Vietnamese inspired noodle soup), Filipino dishes (lechon kawali, pancit, among others) and Pizza What I like in the place other than foods: Its location since it's by the beach, and it is also perfect for sunset watching  🔴 Flavoroso Food House Location: Bgy. Port Barton  Contact: FB Page Specialties: Filipino cuisine (sweet and sour fish, sisig, sizzling shrimps or squids, etc.), carbonara and pizza  ...

Daring you are the bumpy roads, slippery roads particularly during rainy season and the distance itself since it takes an hour or more from the town proper. However, despite the challenging facts, it's not a doubt that the northern part of the municipality is worth the challenge. First stop: Isla Bai-Bai  This is also known as Secret Beach located below Bato ni Ning2x.  Second stop: Bato ni Ning2x Beaches of Bgy. Sto. Niño and Alimanguan and Imuruan Island are visibly perfect on top.  Trivia: It is called Bato ni Ning2x after it became one of the shooting locations of the TV series Ning2x.☺️ Third stop: San Vic View Point This is just few meters away from Bato ni Ning2x. The site is wider and perfect for camping. 🏕️ Fourth stop: Tandol Beach, New Canipo It is one of the undeveloped beaches in San Vicente. I love the place and it has a ...
